The boys LOVE their little sister. Especially James and Andrew. Caleb likes her, but he doesn't dote on her like the older boys. They have been so helpful and really love taking care of Chloe. She loves them as well. Whenever I get her up from a nap, the first thing she does when we come out of her room is to look down the hall in search of her brothers. She whips her head around from side to side. One morning when all the boys were at school, she looked around for them, then just looked up at me. I told her I was sorry, but it was just the two of us. She is so used to the noise and the craziness that comes with a house full of boys. I also love this picture of Andrew and Chloe, because I think they are the most alike in personality....as far as I can tell. I know that can change. Andrew will be seven on Easter Sunday and he is in first grade. He is just so happy. He was born that way. He's such a fun and caring little guy, that you can't help but just love him. This month he started tumbling and trampoline lessons. He can already do cartwheels, round offs, and back flips on a trampoline, so he was bumped up to level 4! He loves it, but they work him hard. So now he's doing flips all over the house. Luckily it's been a very mild winter, so he has been able to flip outside!
Some days it is hard to believe that Mark and i have FOUR children. By the messy state my house is constantly in, and the noise level at times, it seems like maybe 10 children live here!!! Really, though, they are all such sweet, beautiful children and I love each one of them soooo very much!
Over the Christmas break, I was so happy to go visit my Grandmother who is in her nineties. My mother's mother. We wanted to take a four generation picture with me, my daughter, my mother and grandmother. But first, Caleb needed his picture taken. His name is Caleb Todd, and this my Grandma Todd, so it works! Caleb will be 4 in April and he attends Joy School. He is our little ball of energy. Last year at this time he was barely talking, and this year his language has exploded! Therefore, the funniest things come out of his mouth. For being such a rough and tumble kid, he is extremely gentle with Chloe and has a huge heart. A quick funny/sad little story about him....Yesterday was Valentine's Day. He had helped me all day decorate the rooms with hearts and candy for a surprise for the boys. We bought Papa Murphy's heart pizza for dinner. He helped me set the table and was so excited that he found 5 little tea candles that he put by everyone's plate. He was so proud that I let him help me light the candles before dinner. As I was dishing up the pizza, I heard him frantically screaming and crying. I turned around and saw flames!! He put his red plastic plate a little too close to his candle, so his plate was on fire! Luckily he didn't get hurt at all, but it sure scared him. I just blew it out but it took him quite sometime to calm down. Poor kid.
I believe it was the day after Christmas we went to the look at the lights at Temple Square. Before, we had a fun dinner at Hires with some members of my family, and we braved the cold for about an hour or so. It was beautiful and all the kids did really well. And, yes, Caleb has a new coat. That one looks a tad too small! ;)
This is Christmas Eve with the Thornley family. This is Caleb's cousin Stoker, who is 8 months older than him. They are finally starting to play together! We don't get to see them very much so they have to get reacquainted each time they are together.
Christmas night with the Biesinger's! Our annual nativity reenactment. All the kids are such good sports. Even Peter who is 13. I hope they always enjoy doing this because it really is so fun and helps bring that special Christmas spirit to life. And doesn't Mark make such a cute cow? And the little lamb he's holding is quite adorable as well!
Here's my sweet girl, Chloe! I believe she is 5 months old in this picture. Currently (as the date of this blog post) she is 6 months old. She is a little over 14 lbs, and that's the 10th percentile. On the charts! Yea!! I love her so much. She is eating solid foods, she loves gram crackers, she can roll from side to side, she laughs, squeals, and crinkles up her cute little nose! Oh, and she wears PINK! It's so fun!
I love watching our children interact and play with one another. They get so creative and play the most interesting games at times. Here they are eating pears and getting ready to watch a movie in their room (this is a favorite weekend activity)!
And here's that four generation picture I was talking about 5 pictures ago!!! (Remember, lazy picture organizer....)
My 4 sweeties. James is the BEST big brother! Just a quick update on him. He is NINE and in the third grade! He played basketball back in November and really enjoyed it. He loves playing sports during recess with his friends and tells me all about it when he gets home. He is getting ready for soccer season. He enjoys boy scouts, and playing with his friends and brothers. He is also an amazing student. Recently his teacher nominated him to attend the Young National Scholars Program in Denver. He won't be able to attend, but it was nice of his teacher to recognize his leadership and academic achievements. We are so proud of him!
Playing with cousins on Christmas eve at the Thornley's house!
Go Utah State. We are USU basketball season ticket holders. Even Chloe has made it to 4-5 games. This is Kevin Bowen and Melissa Biesinger. This summer we are thinking she will become Melissa Bowen. They are not officially engaged, but I'm thinking it will happen pretty soon!!!!!
Happy, smiley baby!!
A three generation picture. I love my mom so much! She has always been there for me and I just adore her and look up to her so much. She is an amazing woman.
