I had a PTA meeting. I then spent the next hour or so with my bff Heidi (we were at the temple). I hadn't heard from Mark. I knew he was going to the post office because he had an important tax item to mail. I called him. He did not answer. About 10 minutes later I got a call.

Me: "Hi, Babe!"

Mark: "Hi. So I decided to buy a sweet truck."

Me: "Uh, really?"

Mark: "Actually no. We're all okay, but we were in a car accident and......"

Me: "What?!?!? Are you okay??? How are the boys??? Is our car totaled?

Mark: We're all just fine. A guy ran a red light and hit us. It was all his fault. Our car has a bent axle and it needs to be fixed. But in the mean time, we get to drive this sweet truck.

Can you just see me driving carpool in this thing? It's massive and barely fits in our garage.

After the other car had hit them and Mark explained to the boys what had happened, the first thing James said was, "Dad, Mom is going to be so mad at you!"

Am I really that feared? Or does he just realize that I have the most power in our family?? Either way, I'm glad he knows who's boss! ;)

I am so thankful my precious boys are all safe. Life really is so fragile and unpredictable and incidents like these really makes one reflect on the important things in life. It's a good thing I was at the temple when this happened! I know my family was protected.
On a lighter note, today was James' last day of Junior Jazz basketball. He has really improved this year and we are so proud of him. He scored 2 baskets and attempted maybe 4 others! He has improved so much and most importantly he really enjoys playing. At school, a few of his friends formed a basketball club, so he plays everyday at recess.
Here he is warming up before the big game! Our camera ran out of batteries, so this was taken with my phone.
After the game James came home and got to ride the motorcycle. He's had a pretty good day!
Next up is soccer season. Both James and Andrew are playing this year! It's so fun being a soccer mom!

I am glad everyone is OK, but I think if that truck came to our house, Craig wouldn't let me drive it and he also wouldn't want to give it back to the rental company!
